The Apocalypse Trilogy novels all deal with great revelations and the end of civilization as we know it. They are grand stories of epic proportions, while also being character driven. Although they explore related themes and ideas, they are not one continuous narrative or even of the same genre. Therefore you can read the novels in any order you choose.
